PDEO Initiative partners with senior secondary schools to execute the Spark project. This training category is strategically developed for the senior secondary school students as they are in the phase of starting to make certain life decisions such as what to do next after school leaving certificate, what higher institution to attend and what course to study.
The Spark programme deliberately and carefully creates a neutral space for creativity and self-discovery. It is important to note that the Spark programme does not choose career for or impose a particular skill on the participants rather it is built to motivate the students to explore by building on their expressed passion and personal likes hence encouraging them to stay in the moment, do what they love and do so with conviction and integrity.
Spark uses strategic activities and training to stir and ignite the embedded treasure. Spark provides free interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, YOU-Discovery mentorship, community service and internship, and entrepreneurship orientation.
PDEO Club is introduced to senior secondary schools as a continuous form of personal development and entrepreneurship orientation extra curricula activity using PDEO training manual with occasional strategic and interactive film and documentary sessions. Spark participants are also open to educational opportunities and leadership fellowships home and abroad.
